To eliminate the added labor and costs required to build an expansion joint from scratch, Uponor created an industry-first: the 2" Wirsbo AQUAPEX® Tubing Expansion Joint Kit.

The 2" Wirsbo AQUAPEX Tubing Expansion Joint Kit comes unassembled and includes the following components:

  • One pre-formed 2" expansion loop
  • Two 2" brass elbows
  • Four 2" ProPEX® Rings

The kit is 44% less expensive than purchasing the 13 individual components (four feet of tubing, four elbows and eight rings) needed for onsite construction of an expansion joint.

“We created this kit to help our partners in the field install our PEX plumbing systems faster, easier and more cost-effectively,” says Steve Lockridge, senior product manager, Plumbing, for Uponor. “By using this new expansion kit, installers should save a significant amount of time by not having to create the joint onsite from scratch. Plus, they can save almost half the cost of buying the components individually.”

Not only does the kit cost less and save installation time, as compared with buying the individual components and building a joint from scratch, it also provides more reliable performance by requiring fewer joints.

“Our goal at Uponor is to create superior products and systems that offer efficiency to our customers while saving them valuable time and money,” says Lockridge. “The new Uponor 2" Wirsbo AQUAPEX Tubing Expansion Joint Kit delivers on all counts.”
